Ice Yachts launches the ICE 53 ST “Soleag”
On November 27, our partners from Ice Yachts, along with the Felci Yacht Design team, were proud to announce the launching of the New ICE 53 ST « Soleag ».
The launching was made in Varazze (province of Genoa) and the sailboat is now heading to Marseille for its delivery.

The construction of the ICE 53 ST boasts FULL CARBON, featuring an innovative and essential design, high-tech interiors, and dual optimisation for both racing and cruising.
This groundbreaking project seamlessly blends racing prowess with cruising comfort.
We were impressed to discover how this versatile yacht can be effortlessly transformed for regattas with its Race setup or cruising with its Cruise-specific interiors.
The ICE 53 ST aims to introduce a high-performance yacht and has quickly become the new flagship racer in the ICE Yachts lineup. Designed for a discerning owner who seeks an extra dose of excitement and performance, this yacht promises an exhilarating sailing experience. We are proud and excited to showcase it to our customers and followers.
Ice 53ST: pure racing spirit
The distinctive dolphin striker immediately signals that this is a thoroughbred racer, specifically tailored for the ICE 53 ST. The Sport Turismo concept emphasizes its dual nature — a vessel that shines in major sailing events and offers excellent comfort for cruising with a dual configuration.
Compared to the standard ICE 52 RS, the ICE 53 ST sheds over two tons in weight, boasting an approximate dry weight of 10.5 tons and an optimized sail plan for both upwind and downwind performance.
In other words, this is one of the most impressive yacht we’ve ever seen.
Where technology and know how meet
The hull is meticulously crafted using epoxy resin, infused with quadriaxial and unidirectional carbon fibers with local reinforcements. This infusion process, combined with a closed-cell PVC core, not only reduces weight. It also provides the vessel with robustness and strength to endure the stresses of demanding races.
The custom-designed keel for the ICE 53 Sport Touring features a final draft of 3.4 meters, constructed from high-strength Weldox700 steel. The bulb, CNC-machined based on innovative CFD studies, adds an additional 3700 kg to the 600 kg blade.
The carbon fiber rudder with a carbon shaft is newly designed, offering excellent control even when the boat is heeled or heavily loaded, prioritizing safety throughout the design and construction process.
